Chris heads up the Open Up Challenge. He was a Senior Economist at HM Treasury and the Prime Minister’s Energy Review, worked in investment banking at Morgan Stanley and as a strategy consultant at The Boston Consulting Group. He designed and delivered a groundbreaking accelerator programme for 10,000 UK small business leaders at Goldman Sachs.
Andrea is the assistant programme manager coordinating the implementation of the Open Up Challenge. Prior to joining Nesta, Andrea specialised in not-for-profit audit and earned her chartered professional accounting (CPA) designation at KPMG Toronto. Andrea has a BComm from Queen’s University (Canada) and an MSc International Management from the London School of Economics.
Pete Finlay (Consultant Entrepreneur)
Pete is the Open Up Challenge's consultant entrepreneur. He is a co-founder of Silicon Milkroundabout, the best and biggest startup recruitment event in the world. He is also a co-founder of Songkick.com, backed by Y Combinator, Index and Sequoia.
Emma Harvey / Amy Williams (Seven Consultancy)
Seven is a multi-functional communications agency which works with everyone from large FTSE companies to startups.
Holly Jamieson (Senior Consultant)
Holly was a senior consultant to the Open Up Challenge. She was formerly a senior proposition manager at Barclays and now advises on the design of startup support programmes (among other things).
Cynthia Shanmugalingam (Senior Consultant)

Daniel is a front-end developer and UX specialist.
Capco is a global business and technology consultancy and developed the Open Up Challenge's data sandbox, which was made available to the teams who participated in the Challenge.
Kemp Little is a leading technology and digital media law firm. The firm provided specialist support to multiple Open Up Challenge participants in 2017 and 2018.
Mint Digital was a UX agency which (sadly) closed its doors recently after 14 years. The agency provided specialist support to multiple Open Up Challenge participants in 2017.
Fergal provides bespoke media advisory and training services to everyone from large FTSE companies to startups. He provided specialist support to multiple Open Up Challenge participants in 2017 and 2018.
